excel / xp problem.

Alright dudes,
something wrong with MS Excel. this doesn't always happen, but occasionally when i click on a cell in excel, it acts as though i've held my finger on the mouse button. every where u move your mouse it selects everything in it's path.
there's no way to unselect it. so, i basically ctrl + alt + delete and kill the mofo.

| Re-install Excel/Office. And get the office updates. Also update Windows XP. This should sort it. |

| That kind of thing really doesn't sound like an actual bug. I get the same effect if I hold down the SHIFT key and click on cells. Sure your SHIFT key isn't stuck down somehow? Reinstalling office seems pretty drastic at this point. |

| Yeah but reinstalling only takes about 5 minutes so i'd hardly call it drastic. Plus its good to get updates for office. |

well, it hapend to the guy sittin next to me also. he reinstalled and he still gets it.
