To run the Virus plugin you need the cards that support TDM plugins. That means that you can buy an old card second hand or buy a new HD system. Both alternatives will cost you a lot (A new HD system starts around $10000). If you have to have it external you can either just buy the synth or purchase the tc powercore firewire and buy the Virus Powercore plugin which I believe is identical to the Pro Tools version. i definetly reccomend the virus powercore, iv had it for a few months now, and i dont regret buying the powercore firewire and virus plugin.

although that wasnt always the case, the first release of the virus, had some major flaws!!

was near impossible to use.

an upgrade was released last week though, and all my problems with it have been sorted.

now i just love it!!

ill upload some previews of it in use.

right bit of a problem, when playing the riff i was going to demonstrate the virus powercore on, it plays back fine in FLSTUDIO, which is what im using, however once i export it, it seems to miss notes!!!

have tried various settings when rendering it!! but still no luck.

iv heard alot of people have problems like this when using fruity.

ill try it with cubase sx.

i use the virus indigo in protools hd, but like mentioned earlier it is realy expensive(the system i use was $30000), the tc powercore sounds like a good deal though
