Hi everyone I have a question about downloading from Rhapsody. Yesterday I went to Rite Aid(pharmacy)and noticed they had calling cards for phones and then i noticed they had cards for the dowloading program rhapsody. It was 15 dollars but first wanted to make sure if it was ok. My question here is if anyone downloads from rhapsody and is it easy to find trance, breaks, psy on it. Also is it legal to burn these songs in use them at partys and such? |

Ok, I work for Best Buy (the first retailer to distribute rhapsody) and we push it like there is no tomorrow. Yes, it is legal to burn these songs, but you must pay for the ones you want to burn. As far as i know, once you have paid for the download it is just like buying the track, so it will be just as legal as playing a CD that you purchased when DJing.
As far as selection goes, its ing TERRIBLE. i have created a playlist on rhapsody in my department at work so i can have some decent music to listen to, and my playlist is only about 15 songs long. and that was after doing about an hour of hunting.
a few Tiesto tracks, a few sasha tracks, a few junkie XLs. they dont even have any PVD songs that you can listen to. what kind of downloading program doesnt have PVD?
dont waste your money bro, totally not worth it. if you want, you can go into any best buy store and you can demo it with any of their kiosk computers. but i think its totally worthless unless your favortie artists are britney spears and the backstreet boys. |

Agreed. I'm also a Best Buy employee and the selection is just junk. I HAVE noticed some slight improvement since its release, but still.... |
