just cant decide which way to go with speakers etc for my car...
does anyone have expirience with different makes of audio systems so I can get some guidance on the subject?
for a head unit I'm thinking clarion or pioneer
and for speakers I was thinking again clarion, pioneer, maybe rockford. Anyone heard of a new brand called Fenner or smtn?
any help appreciated |

i love them there MTX subs. they are rated in rms and not max wattage, so watch out if you get a differnt amp.
and for a deck... i dunno. |

Clarion makes some good HUs, pioneer's premier brand is also good. I'd consider Eclipse and Alpine as a couple other good brands. Wattage doesn't really matter on the HU if you are going to add amps for your speakers anyways.
I have infinity kappas in my car they are good. Some other well known brands include MB Quart, Velodyne, Boston, Image Dynamics, etc. I'd probably go with components so you can adjust the tweeter position and because they often contain their own crossovers. What you want is full dynamic range. You want something that is highly efficient with good db levels. You will probably want a sub, even if its a single 10" just to get the lows that you probably don't want your mids pushing. My single 12" in a 1ft. sealed box adds a world of difference. |

| Alpine for cd player is the best...i have a friend who works at a stereo store and they specialize in car audio and he told me alpine was one sure value!...good quality...but yeah, it might be a little expensive.. |
