You know what we need?
We need an Artificial Intelligence (perhaps by the nickname of TrAInceaddict) to navigate through this forum and the posts and automatically and helpfully answer questions like this so that human energy isn't wasted inefficiently.
In due time it should be a small chore to set up -- it would have a text-based heuristics set of algorithms to scan for questions like this. It would also be trainable so that after a few false positives, the accuracy rate would increase accordingly.
It's easy to be lazy and apathetic and keep things the way they are, but really, if the opportunity really arose, having such an AI to deal with redundant issues would help *tremendously*. Don't we have a FAQ sticky too? :)
