Oh I've heard many stories of her being coked up...
Myself I've only been in ohio for 3 years so haven't been to many of the classic parties from back in the day :P
What I do know is that Sandra Collins played in Cleveland back in February at moda and went to Abbasso for after hours .... to quickly proceed at quicking everyone's ass at Tetris on the nintendo on the big screen tv :stongue: !
Later Jay a guy who played against her told me that while in the game he so wanted to turn over to her and say I'm so f***ed up right now I honestly cant play correctly or else I'd be kicking your ass :haha: :haha: :haha:
I unfortunately had left before she showed up at Abbasso so none of this I actually experienced what a bummer. |

hahahaha top story :D it seems everyone I know has a classic Sandra Collins story. An old friend turned druggie enemy of mine made out with her on stage at the old Red Zone (who knows what it is called now). Im not a big fan of Moda, though Ive only been to a handful of shows there (most recently Ferry. 6/10 show :p ). I havent been paying much attention to the DJs coming in and concentrating more on my life, but some time soon, I will have to go to some kind of crazy Ohio party... |

Oh wow - an event that's not 21+. Maybe I'll show... if I can get there.
Yeah, I made a Cleveland thread a few months ago - got some nice responses. Just a soph at CWRU, though, so can't get into the 21+ events for another year :-/. But from what I have been to, Cleveland seems great - Oakenfold last November, Tiesto over the summer... some pretty nice gay bars too, if you're into that :happy2:.
Big thing for me is lack of a car and lack of friends who want to go to these kinds of things. Also not really sure on what the various clubs play - I know trance isn't a big thing, but I'm a huge house/tribal/prog fan as well... at least getting to be.
Haha - and there's a reason you're bored at Hiram - I visited my friend there the other week - that place is the definition of BFE. |

Do you go to Twist on sundays?
Straight/Gay/Bi people all go there...
Heck a lot of the true music heads go there on sundays it's our chill place ! :)
And if you're a dj and show some love you might be asked to play too!

| any upcoming cleveland events? any cleveland TA's around? i would like to get something going on here, if there is anyone else around northern ohio that spins we should put on a little shindig... i have PLENTY of records and a setup, just need some speakers! whaddya guys think?? |

In regards to playing out and such there's various open tables around the city too
In regards to events keep an eye on www.clevelandnightlife.net
Unfortunately as you may be aware trance is few and far between here but it doesn't go without saying we do still get a mass of great acts of all other genres. |

yay jdat your the only one who seems to be an active OHTA here! anyways i went to the abasso party last weekend because i was at the indians game and i parked right across the street from it. did you make it there?
you say "rockin it out cleve heights coventry style" gotta love that area thats where i grew up right down there i used to live off monticello on castleton rd. anyways i have been trying to get in an open decks night but there are so many people trying to do it i never hear back from the places. well imma keep trying i'd luv to spin anywhere here!! |

I was at the special night at Abbasso but way too freaking out of it ( tired ) ... did you profit from the open bar?
all I had were redbulls lol
I left for like an hour and a half around midnight to go flyering ....
There's open nights at Wish on tuesdays and thursday.
Get there early on tuesday's if you want a slot.
Now tbh it's always better if you get to know people at little bit otherwise they may feel as if you're trying to butt your way in if you know what I mean! ;)
You ever go to Poobas? If you go there there's a bunch of postings for different open tables that I may not even be aware of.
I know there's stuff at Annabells in Akron on monday's too.
Moda is having a 2 year anniversary party on saturday open bar and all .... with Deviant ( great prog dj ) and Sammy O ( used to be resident over there ... great big room house dj .. he plays at SPace and such a lot in Florida ) .... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |
