Just noticed this out on 12" promo...

Going by the samples, the original is pretty different to the version posted on the site by Lightworks several months ago... sounds alot better. More sublime than most other Icone productions I've heard... something you'd use to bridge the warmup & peak phase of a set perhaps. No real standout factor to it but I like it and can't pick faults with it. 8/10
The H&J remix is more peak-orientated with a stronger riff, but I'm not sure if I like it... seems like there's something missing in order to make it all 'complete' sounding like the original. Then again I find the same thing with most H&J productions. The main melody seems to sit out on its own a little and sounds borderline-cheese almost. Lacks the class of the A-side.. 5/10 |
