Dm2 Tables...Opinions?/Help?

Hey guys
Im mainly a producer...and want to get into Dj'ing as a way to better understand music, with its productions/timing/transitions/Deaf Soundz etc
I Recently got a Dm2 from Santa and im wondering if anyone has used this...and is this a good way to practice mixing...and then head into the real equipment
Any opinions and help will be much appreicated

Hmmm.. I got this. Then promptly returned it. :eyes:
You might get better mileage out of it than me however, as I was already using Tracktor DJ Studio and another midi-usb controller (Evolution UC-16). I found out that Tracktor only supports 1 controller at a time (grrr).
I managed to get the DM2 to control Traktor, and it wasn't too bad. You can use the jog wheels to cue the track just like a turntable, except you have to press a button first - that part kinda sucked.
I never bothered to use the software that came with the DM2 (in fact, it crashed), so I can't really give you any info on that.
The build quality does make the DM2 feel like a toy, but hey it's pretty cheap and it works, so *shrug*
Since you already have a DM2, I would suggest buying Traktor (or try the demo out). Note that you need a special DM2 midi driver to get it to work with Traktor - you can find it on Google. |

I must say when i got it...i knew it wasnt pro...but i was very proud that my momz took an interest in my hobby...therefore i cant let it go
But im definitly going to try ur suggestion
