Some people might not like the Nextel phones cause it is less user friendly, but I like it cause it's a phone. Plain and simple.
If you want extra gadgets. Then you want:

I have a Nextel and love direct connecting my friends. :D |

| please correct me if im wrong;) but i think that you can buy a certain phone and connect it to any provider that you want, you just have to pay the activation fee and stuff and agree to their terms and conditions, some brand/models are specially made for an specific company (samsung/sprint) (motorola/nextel) i think that you can activate them with any company but features change... dunno i might be talking s**t... |

i know in canada here, there's a lot of common brands in between providers... like nokia, and i think motorola is also a common brand with some companies
and my phone provider(fido) uses the sim card, another provider(rogers) here will be using sim cards soon, i was thinking about switching when they made the change so i could still use my phone, but my friend (whos a manager at rogers) told me that it might not work because the phone might not operate on the same frequencies |

well the US has weird frequencies stuff..... i think the newest one they use is GSM (1800mhz??) so the phoens that are able to work GSM can be used internationally (most other continent providers use GSM, i think??) the US is late on technology for cell phones...
I don't like the Nokia 33xx phones..... nor do I like the 82xx series..... I have a 5190 right now, but am looking for a phone that is a little smaller than it.. the 82xx is too small, and I personally think the 33xx are ugly (too many people have them around here anyways).
what are some good GSM phones? |
