2004 Remakes : Adagio For Strings vs. The Orange Theme

I was just listening to both of the new remakes of these songs:
Tiesto - Adagio For Strings
Martin Roth & Frank Ellrich - The Orange Theme (Martin Roth Remix)
And they almost sound like they were made by the same producer. Both has a slight classical feel to them with a hard beat and hard synths that are very similar.
My question to you is...which of these 2 tickle your fancy more?
Tiesto - "Adagio For Strings" does it for me, but the new Orange Theme really comes close...it was hard to decide. |

I'm more or less on the same lines here.. neither one is too good but i think Tiesto has managed to do a slightly better version of a classic track while the Orange Theme remakes are both plain awful and can't come anywhere near the greatness of Man With No Name or Solar Stone mixes for me. |

Tony Burt & Mat Silver's 2004 remake of Adagio For Strings has far more energy than Tiesto's remake and then when those strings come in, OMG.
Personally thou i can not wait for the current trend of 2004 remakes of classics to end, most IMO do not live up to the originals.
One that has outshone its original thou is Signums Signal 2004 remake of 'First Strike'. Great track!

Meh... I found that one boring.. & too similar to Ferry's.
I never liked Orange Theme at all so Adagio it is. Had a MUCH bigger reaction at Global Gathering this year (both were played). |
