Lowering basskicks

| I have FL Studio, Soundforge, and Acid Pro. I been trying to find the best way to get rid of drumkicks in a song (wav) without affecting the whole song that much, particularly trance songs. I know i cant get rid of the kicks for good, but lower it enough so that you can barely hear the kicks and play another drum pattern over it. Can anyone give me tips or techniques to go about this? thanks |

Try using a Good Dynamic EQ, and set it to what you need. Its tough to get rid of it completly, u might even here a tick tick as the kick still, but if ur using it as a loop or sample in your track, If you eq it good enough you can barely here the difference. Also try a compressor, mess with the attack.
I usually just Fx the out of those types, and come out with some cool sounds.. |
