| Apparently not in Olympic track/field. I just noticed tonite that no body wears socks. Anyone know why? |

| my best guess is to prevent any type of slipping.....their shoes are so ventilated and conformed, moisture and irritation probably isnt an issue, atleast not on sprints etc |

| The greek woman who ran the other day and won the gold took her shoes off and her socks and ran around the track barefoot after she won. She had those really low cut socks that go well below your ankles. |
