ok, I would really like some help with this, I've been getting this problem with a window keep popping up saying that WMI has encountered a problem, it doesn't actually seem to stop anything or do any damage, but when I leave my pc on for a period of time and come back, the error has come up like 15 times and I have to close 15 dam windows because of it, I know what WMI is about, and I only seem to get it after I install Service Pack 1 on my PC, and I need SP1 installed in order to install the latest ATI Drivers, so my questions are:
Do you know of a way to fix this WMI popup bull?
Will the new Service Pack 2 fix it?, I really don't want to install it and get more bull.
I only found a small bit of help from google that said about stopping the service and then deleting something and then restarting the computer, but that didn't help.
EDIT: Crap just realised this is the wrong forum. |

What does WMI stand for? Did you scan your computer for viruses? Also try disconnecting your computer from the Internet. If that message goes away, it is most likely a virus.
As for SP2, if that thing keeps popping up, you'll have a hard time installing it. Haven't installed SP2 yet so I wouldn't know if that will solve your problem. |
