Stop #3 of the club tour
For Thursday, the Time Out London I picked up sure came in handy. There wasn't much on the house/trance front, so I went to this Drum-n-bass event called Movement, at Bar Rumba. Excellent vibe! Much like that hardcore party in Amsterdam, but with a larger crowd in a larger space.
The next few days are gonna be a real test!
Fri - Gatecrasher/Vandit at Heaven: PVD, Matt Hardwick, Jon O'Bir
(also, Armin is playing an 8-hour set at Turnmills)
Sat/Sun am - Creamfields, including a 3.5-hour train ride each way (hotels in Liverpool are much more expensive, and there's not as much to do over there)
Sun - Euphoria @ Ministry of Sound: John 00 Fleming, John Askew, Matt Darey, Adam White, and others
There's a bank holiday on Monday, so lots of parties on Sunday.

Somehow I didn't know about it until today, when I (finally) happened to check the UKTA forum.

Radio 1 sounds great! I've caught a little bit of Kiss 100 as well.

| um, I think creamfields is this weekend in York. I'm in ny this weekend so i can't go, but you should. It's a hour hour train ride from London but it's totally worth it. |

This past weekend, I was in Heaven! :p
Twas a great weekend for sure. For those coming out to the UK, look for dates of Bank Holidays, so then there would be an extra night of action in the clubs.
Creamfields was spectacular, but getting there and back was an adventure and a half. For a time, it made me glad to have gone solo, cuz I would've felt terrible for whoever else went through the same.
Here's the short version, for now: I woke up late at 10 am, left the hotel around 10:15 am, I arrived at the venue at 4:30 pm, I got in through the gates at 6 pm, stayed til the end at 6 am, got back to London at 3 pm.
There were others in a similar situation, for going back - I met some ppl from LA, as well as from Brazil.
I then took a nap, which lasted 5.5 hours longer than planned. So I had to hurry to the next club event. :p
More on that, and the other events I attended, and plenty of pics, after I get back to the US of A, which will be in a matter of hours. |

| Before continuing on to the party reviews, I just want to mention the record stores - I came across many fine shops, but the only one that I saw that had much trance was Mad Records. Very nice shops with most records costing between 6 and 8.50 Pounds (bear in mind that at the current exchange rate, each pound is equal to about 2 US Dollars). |
