Ummm... then you are a conformist. Try listening to ATB - Marrakesh and prove me wrong.
And enough with attempts to draw a solid line between cheese and non-cheese. Stop being a bunch of elitists. It does not make you look "cooler" or more intelligent in regards to music. People should listen to whatever they prefer. |

I won't name names to protect the innocent but let's recap a few of their comments
"dj sammy = cheese....in my opinion....."
"Dj Sammy is expendable"
"Sammy is stale bland dule ordinary."
Did the original post ask the question "Can anyone confirm if Dj Sammy is notorious for being cheesy?" if it did then yes all the people mentioned above would be geniuses. But that wasn't the original post was it? They saw the word sammy and like pavlovian zombies they dropped their shorts and started taking a nice big messy dump all over Sammy's head.
If they'd had a brain then they would have written something like this...
"hmm, Sammy eh? I dont' like his stuff at all, what's different about this new track? Could you name some tracks it sounds like cause all i've ever heard is CHEESE from Sammy and I can't imagine him having another style, but hey if you've taken the time and effort to tell us he's made something decent then because i'm NOT A CLOSED MINDED AUTOMATON I'm willing to give this NEW song a listen maybe, and that's just a maybe, please give me a more information so I can decide if he really deserves a second chance with me, a sample would be nice..."

I'll finish by firing a final volley at the person who said

This is what my original post was really intended to address. He saw Sammy in your post, and his brain can't imagine you having any variety in musical tastes. "try listening to something else" huh? Did the original post in anyway imply that that person only listens to Dj Sammy? In fact it was quite clear that the original poster doesn't like Sammy 95% of the time. Yet this pavlovian zombie right on cue thinks that its his moral duty to TA, to coerce everyone away from the evils of Sammy! Cause of course if you like even ONE of Sammy's tracks then its game over, next thing ya know you'll be ummm, well i'm not really sure what he fears you'll turn into, but whatever it is, it must be horrible. |

I should see if that's on my vinyl. I don't know how I bought anything Sammy, cause he sucks, but I'm guessing it was his mix I liked. Lieb kicks ass. He was supposed to play here tonight but lost his Visum. Major bummer. Sunlight, I thought, was alright for being DJ Sammy anyway. |

Why don't you listen to the REMIX before you start bashing it. I bet most of the people that replied haven't even heard the track, and were just trying to fit in by saying DJ Sammy sucks!
Just because the original was sub-standard, it does not mean the remix can't kick ass.
