I heard this Ballerina track just a moment ago. First i was kinda laughing or something to the vocals, but when the melody or what ever u wanna call it started, i freeked "omg sounds good" and started listening it again from the beginning because i didnt like White Room so i didn't have any expects for this one.
My friend told me ages ago that while listening one track he broke to tears, i always wanted it to happen to me too. And this track really amazed me, it's so amazing and _beautiful_ And suddenly i felt this huge rush of happiness and sadness at the same time. I found myself laying on the bed eyes closed with a tear in my cheek :eyes:
I love those vocals now, i think that without them this track wouldn't be as huge as it is for me.
Simply amazing, thank you. |

I totally know what you mean... this is true Trance right here.. it just controls you and brings out emotion, and you just can't help it. |

Weird? In a James Holden way or in an Eiffel 65 way or something else entirely? ;) I may be hearing this further down the timeline... anyhoo, I'd prefer "weird" over "cookiecutter Clonetrancer".
A warm welcome to TranceAddict, AdamWhite. :D |

Welcome Adam! :)
Like Adam said, it is taken from a song called "Open Heart Zoo" by a VERY talanted young gentlemen named Martin Grech. It was released in 2002 [on the album of the same name] when Martin was only 19!
I highly recommend Radiohead fans have a listen to the album, similar in style - it's very unique, melancholic and has heaps of electronic influence.

Now to Ballerina, I love it! Would do very well on dance floors, the main melody has a dark 80's feel to it. The vocals: very haunting. |

WOW!!! I just finally got to hear this track! At first the vocals threw me off just a little bit, but nothing major. Then the AMAZING melodies come in and when the vocal comes back in over the melodies it fits and makes so much sense. I don't mind the vocals anymore, they really help the track out. GREAT stuff!!!
Adam White is on fire this year!!!

Damn smashing tune, 9/10. Love the melody. Great job Adam.
The vocals are somewhat haunting, and as someone mentioned before, in the right frame of mind they'd be awesome to hear, especially in a club. It would be very interesting to see what Agnelli & Nelson could do to the vocals (without using excessive resonance :whip: ) if they were to remix this... |

| The vocals help with the uniqueness while the instrumental section is the meat that keeps it grounded on the dancefloor. If more tracks copy "Ballerina" and use similar vocals, then it won't seem strange anymore. Meme propagation can work wonders. :D |
