Just wondering if some people could give me some recommendations on games which are rather good for playing on the net. :)

Thanks in advance.

Ok here you go:

www.Runescape.com
Its a Poor mans Everquest with ugly graphics but highly addictive.

Or want a fancy MORPG go with Final Fantasy X1.

Anything that runs on the Quake 3 engine = g0ld.

Some games that run on that are... well, obviously Quake, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Wolfenstein. ID products are usually solid.

Rise of Nations and Age of Conquerors/Empires are pretty fun online too.

Ghost Recon and the old Rainbow Six games were a in' blast too.

One game you should stay away from... Raven Shield, and that's because it runs on Unreal Engine, and the Unreal Engine sucks ass, along with Unreal Tournament. :D

If you haven't done so already - Go pick up a copy of good old Half Life for about $10. Runs perfect on most any computer these days, and you get all sorts of fantastic online mods like CS, Day of Defeat, Natural Selection, Team Fortress Classic, The Specialists, etc.

depends on what you are in to.

I'd pick up halflife and get in to some counterstrike. But there will be a lot of people that will outgun you at first until you get used to it. Grab quake 3 arena, quick learning curve, fast paced and tons of fun. Or pick up unreal tournament 2004 instead of quake 3, doesn't matter, both same type of game. UT2k4 is probably alittle faster pace and less skill involved.

Battlefield 1942 or games along those lines are great.

Yeah BF1942 is pretty cool, but online I thought turned into a big cluster of unorganized bastards running around each with their own objective in mind. Teamwork didn't seem to flow well.

I recomend Enemy Territory. It's a free Multiplayer Game.
In this game teamwork is neede to win the map.
And if you join AiA server to play, there are lot's of good ppl that make sure there is temaplay on the server.
AiA server also support TeamSpeak.
TS is a program where you can talk to players that play on the same server with you. On TS team can talk strategies how to win the map and all kind intresting stuff.
TS will take game to the next level. :D

good ol Unreal Tournament, Diablo2, Medal of honor: AA, Warcraft3, that's about those I enjoy and would recommand for the moment..

I just dont enjoy playing online as much as I used to, too many s or geeks who spend most of their life on a game so your out of your league right off the start
