| i seriously hope the named djs above do not POST to TA because from what i've seen so far the intelligence/maturity level of most TA members is not very high |

A lot more read than post. "Lurkers" as they're called, although I do not mean to use that term in any sort of a denigrative fashion.
And yes, there are those who do not post because they're chuckling at/feeling awkward 'cuz of/dismayed by the responses that come up when replying to certain well-thought-out queries. So certainly, there are those who are scared to contribute in active discussion because of how they might be verbally pounced on.
Although I find, you tend to get desensitized over the long term because there's only so many times something REDUNDANT! :crazy: like: "TIESTO SUX0RS!!!!111" or "'ATRC' is overrated" comes up. Bleh. However, the flipside of that is apathy only goes so far and bashers must be actively called out -- that kind of behavior sinks us all down as a community. I believe that disagreements should be conducted firmly but politely and musical criticism does *NOT* include personal attacks to the artist or artists who created it.
That being said, big names who come here must have thick skins and be dogged and persistent. No doubt why they are succeeding in their respective quests, not unlike Roland reaching for The Dark Tower. :) Lobstrosities = (where's the approximate sign?) Trancestrosities? |

Most rappers our on this board because they are secretly fans of EDM and know that its the best music in the world.

I heard that Tiesto checked the boards and he sometimes posts. I belive he was talking about this and his own forum but who knows. |

Seriously, it wouldn't startle me if some like Outkast and Timbaland did research reading up on Internet EDM forums such as TA. They've got their ears open to all sorts of new sounds. :) Trance-hop has gotta push forward more in one way or another ;) |
