Dj monitor speaker and normal speakers

can anyone tell me what the difference on a dj monitor speaker and normal speakers? i was going to get a klipsch rb35. but ppl recommand me not to get that..say klipsch rb35 is more like use it to listen music and use it as home audio speaker.
also can u guys recommand on which speaker i should get? my buget is around 1500cdn. also if there is any good online store that shipping to international for those speakers?

| monitors have a flat response curve, while 'regular' speakers have bumps in the freq response. |
