let me put it this way
i graduated college with no applicable skills to the real world environment. i regret going to college and obtaining the degree that i have, BS in Information Systems Management. The only skills I think I can apply are the ones that pertain to management. Anyone who is planning on receivng an IT/CS Degree, please please reconsider it. In the business world a degree aint . You are running up against people who are certified out the ass and still are having trouble finding a job. Its too late for me, I've already got my degree, while you still have time, search for other careers.
I am so distraught over the fact that I worked 4 years for this degree and I'm not even gonna fully apply it. Go for your certificates they are stronger than a degree and give you the hands on knowledge in the real world to apply real skills. A degree means ! I'm going back for my MBA and I'm gonna use my IT side as leverage in the business world.
Remember this is just from my experience, not like everyone has the same, i've just been out there in the market for a while.... |

| yeah i mean im having a blast up here its just that is raining a lot so thats why im in the library now.. but i meant a lot of people, and i met one person who likes trance. but he's never been to a party soooooo its kinda weird. |

i started today at GMU, i had eng101 and beginning of modern dance.
eng was ok seems like previous ones so far. now modern dance... well i was thinking of something more current/popular but i soon found out its more of a movement that flows and represents, blah blah etc. im takin Gen Ed courses cause im undecided, but im probably gonna drop the course. i`m gonna talk to an academic advisor and see what i should take and if it will carry if i transfer.
edit: oh ya, commuting sucks, i should have dormed...maybe next semester. |

I got in a fight over that at a frat party. They were trying to take advantage of this girl and she was seriously screwed up. So I was the only one who stood up for her. I literally walked over there, picked her up, and carried her out. They were all bitching like "wtf are you doing," "she's alright," "she wants to do this."
To make matters worst two guys came running after me to then corner me in the parking lot with her. I barely knew this girl, but I had to talk to them and get in their face telling them that she's not even coherent enough to know where she is. So after about 15 mins of getting into THEIR face. They backed down and let me and her go.
Sad thing was is I had no idea where to take her, and I wasn't about to drive around somewhere so when she woke up she'd think I kidnapped her or trying to rape her. So I just sat her up on the lawn and forced her to wake up :).
Long story short, she was very thankful that I pulled her out of the party. She said that she was having a drink and then blacked out. So...made me feel good that I risked getting my ass kicked to do the right thing. |
