the fact is that tijs have had a lot of help from his blackhole artists like dj montana (one track or two), cor fijneman (he has stopped helping afaik), geert huinink (this guy does the most work) and also dj waakop reijers on the tracks on "just be" |
Nyana is the only track on Just Be that's made by Tiësto alone. Traffic would be too if it wasn't for the Psykofuk sample. |

funny though, In the Olympics tiesto was at this sport show, called Studiosport, they had guests that won medals and coaches and stuff, also tiesto, was the day after the opening i think.
So this guy who knows nothing about djing asked, do you produce music that you play?
Tiesto replied with, ya i produced and composed all the tracks i played in the opening ceremony by my self. |

erm... if you label the vinyl with just Tiësto as the producer, than it would be kinda stupid to say otherwise on a well-watched national television program. |

I think we've got a neck-and-shoulders contender here.
Compare:
BT - Knowledge of Self
to
Blank & Jones - What You Need
And not only that, listen to Blank & Jones's "Momument" intro compare to the intro of BT's Emotional Technology, and B&J's "City of Angels" vs. B.W. Transeau's "Communicate". It sounded very, very similar both in form, structure, harmonics, etc. to me.

Credit goes to moving in circles for letting me know about this.
Have phun! :D |

| This thread reminds me of how The Source - Fly Away sounds exactly like either Faithless or Amoeba Assassin (with vocals). I forgot the damn track name though. :wtf: |

Jezus, thats not even smooth ripping, its just total cut'n'paste basically.
No kudos to Beuken for rippin my melody intepretation of Nadjanema...
// Jezper |
Sorry Jezper, but I've been really hooked on the rip-off lately. I guess because your chorus sounds good in Hard-Trance mode. But seriously, JVD should have at least credited you. And by the way, it isn't Beuken, if by Beuken you mean Ron Van Den Beuken. I looked up on Discogs that JVD's real name is John Van Dongen.
It may cheer you up if I said that JVD obviously isn't that talented as his only 'original' track is stolen from you! :p
I always thought that the point of remixing was to make a new interpretation of the original and to change it to how you would personally like it to sound if it was your own track. |

| And why does this particular ripoff deserve a topic of it's own when there are hundreds just as bad? |

Well I never heard about the 2nd track until today, and it seems new... Airbase's remix is about 1 year old. |
And if that's true then Airbase ripped it -
JVD's track was released Aug 2004. |
