hey guys - i got a friend who is rather clueless when it comes to trance and has been given the opportunity to interview over the phone John 00 Flemming in another 25 hours... she wants to know what questions would be good to ask him for a magazine
i'd suggest things like
how long have you been producing trance music for
what was your favourite party that you played at
what is the strangest thing that has happened to you while djing
etc
your thoughts on what she should ask him? |

where does he think trance music is heading and where will it be in 10 years?
what would be a dream DJing gig?
what would you tell new, up and comming DJs about making it big?
stuff like that |

Gosh, lots of questions. Almost too easy. :D
I hear the j00f spins exclusively from CD now. At what point did he realize that CDs/technology is the future, and at what point did he move to using all CDs?
Where does he get most of his new material from? Friends, websites, forums, random submissions, stores?
How much time does he spend a week listening to new material?
Where do you see psytrance heading? Do you think it will become more popular/mainstream in the future?
Looking forward, where do you see the EDM scene going in the next 5 years? 10 years?
Have you been to Goa? :toothless
What's your favorite venue/club to spin at? Least favorite?
What's your favorite country to spin in? Least favorite?
Which do you prefer more - to produce new tracks or to dj?
How do you manage to stay up all night for those late AM gigs? |

Producers/DJ's who are often interviewed may get annoyed after being asked these questions so many times. If she makes some research, and use it as an intro paragraph, she could save some time asking more entertaining things like "What's the weirdest thing that ever happened to you while producing?" or "Even been bricked?" |

Weirdest Thing that ever happened to him?
When he was spinning and a guy came up to the DJ booth wanting to buy a drink. "The guy started to get really leary with me and we ended up having a bit of a kertuffle" :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
- That was in Cyrus King's documentary "Ibiza's Children" |
