just Learning to program synths and have done what sounds to me as good imitation of chicane's lead sound. However when i play aloud there is clicking and pops in the speakers ( not a latency problem or a high freq one though). Download the patch at http://www.geocities.com/popsych/chicane.zip and give this rookie some help.

Love to help, but for one reason or another I can't load it.

use a de-clicker effect vst to get rid of that.

i wouldnt know how to cuz i dont use logic. i use ol fl studio and it has a bult in declicker/denoiser that does the trick.

Funny because last night, I just loaded the es2 and it really gave me the sound i was looking for, Its a good synth(when its working the right way). The click sound happens to me sometimes.

Try a defrag on your hard drive. IT HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Especially with the EXS24..

Make sure your volumes are at a good level. ALSO!!. Sometimes setting the voices down a little can help also..

i don't know the architecture of the ES2 but I know in some HD synths you may get some clicking sounds when the filter is closed or very low...this is due to very fast envelops.

A click is produced when a very fast level change in the audio signal
occurs. You can easily check that on your home stereo when you play
back a CD and switch the Source Selector back and forth between CD
and a source that doesn't play anything.

The brightness of the click depends on the speed of the level change.
The faster the level changes, the brighter is the click. So, the
level change speed can be compared with the cutoff of a lowpass
filter.

I'm not sure when this clicking is occuring and what it sounds like but if you know its not your card then you might take this in to consideration. But I really can't say for sure since I can;t hear it. If you hear the click when the filter is open all teh way then i woudl not think this is the case.

Limit Out!
