Aaah..Vocal trance :tongue3
Well, here are MY tips for making vocal trance. These may be really obvious things (or even stupid), but I hope these are even bit helpfull tips for some of U ;)
1) Sometimes less is more! U don't have to always write a long story for good vocal line. Like Antiloops - I love you, simple and good ;) But sometimes little story is nice, like Kay Cee - Unsolved mysteries
2) When U listen to vocal trance, U can hear that usually when there is vocal there aren't lots of melodies going on... That way the vocal really stands up from the track.
3) Sometimes even silly lyrics make good song if the voice is interesting ;) Listen some songs of Kyau vs Albert...
4) Sometimes it helps if U think the vocal is like synth or string... So U can create first the vocal melody and then start to think the words...
5) Just let your inspiration fly ;)
And maybe someone can give more some tips (or even betetr tips) for making vocal trance? |

| Also don't go the Lasgo vocal 'dance' tour. It really sucks. |

When I listen to GOOD vocal trance, I find that there ARE other melodies going on, that way the vocal supplements the track and doesn't support it on its' own.
Needless to say, I feel vocals should add to a track. A track shouldn't be built around vocals, rather, they should complement each other, and sound perfectly fine without each other. |

But I think the BEST advice anyone can give is ;listen to vocal trance...Really LISTEN to it. Listen different styles of vocal trance (also vocals by male singers and not only female)... Learn and create your own style to use vocals in your tracks ;)
And have FUN!!!!:whip:

I know they don't quite flow yet but I still feel the potential is there.

I kind of liked this track...Cool ;)
And I think the vocal fits nicely in to this bizarre melody :tongue2
It not only fits, it gives more "deepness" to the track.... Well, that's what I think. |

Thanks Joi Lamusic,
I was trying to decide if it was right for the thread or not but I found myself wondering a lot about the points you mentioned.

thats a serious track dude...there's one effect that i'm interested in knowing how you pulled it off. It comes in at 2:15 and sound slike a reverse reverbed vocal layered with a reversed synth sound or my second thought would be that is a vocoded vocal that is reverse reverbed...how did ya pull it off and what did ya use(synths, effects).
Thanks, Love this Tune! |
