I had the option of going straight to 4th year or take a 16 month internship then return to 4th year at the conclusion of the work term.
It's nice to be making money and all but with school, you get to see your friends and best of all, SLEEP IN CLASS!!! I do fall asleep at work on occasion but it's a risky venture. Also, you can sleep-in and skip class, can't do that at work really...
I guess the most important thing is: stay in school as long as you can... The "real world" sucks, just the thought of working for 25 - 30 years after you graduate is scary enough!!! :whip: |
can't disagree there at all.. but I guess its also a matter of whether you like your job though. If you like your job I don't imagine it sucking that much. Its all about doing what you enjoy. Sure you can't party as much, but with all the extra cash you can do other things, like take real vacations and buy crap! =] |

| I decided that instead of going back to school... I'll make my 60-75K per year and let my beautiful GF go back next year... then I'll finish up when she greaduates |

no more Ryerson for me ..
first Sept. without having to go back .. feels kinda weird .. work actually sux ..
but that's okay.. cuz then i can save up some mad cash and hit up EUROPE again next summer !! :D :D :D

Seems like a lot of people go to Ryerson in this forum. :D Is anybody in any sort of Engineering there? |

I've managed to get the left hand/arm supporting the head while the right holds the mouse down to a tee. However, Saylor brought up a good point about sleeping at your desk... MAKE SURE YOUR SCREENSAVER NEVER COMES ON!!! :haha: |
