Australia's most successful and well-loved electronic act, INFUSION embark on Canada for two live dates accompanied by an early limited release of their first major label LP, ‘Six Feet Above Yesterday.’
INFUSION is here to put to rest any discussion of electronic music’s imminent demise. Take a listen to the group’s second artist album, or bear witness to one of their dynamic, energetic 100% live shows, and you’ll agree that reports of dance music’s death have been greatly exaggerated.
Following the successful release of recent 12” dancefloor bombs, “Girls Can Be Cruel” – the 1st single from the album - and “Do To You (in ’82)”, INFUSION are now set to unleash their original artist album on somewhat of a departure from their club-friendly sound. In their own words,
“We’ve always seen the 12” as being written to work in a club environment while our goal with the album was to produce something that we can be proud of as a good piece of music. We’re opening ourselves up to new sounds and also drawing upon the music we’ve loved. And a lot of that is from the eighties. We’re bringing that through and developing our own interpretations. So sure there is a bit of an eighties sound but there is also a classical influence and some straight down the line rock that we love. We've got really nice horn and string arrangements, 12 string guitars and all kinds of different instrumentation. On the whole it’s not really a club album as it’s quite song based.”
