Whats up all? Just got my tables a week ago (MK3Ds)and the damn needles keep skipping when I backcue!!! Its so damn aggravating... Is it the needles (geminis HCDN25 I think) or do I have the tone arm balanced wrong? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Try turning down your anti-skate, and if it still skips on back cuing even with a very low anti-skate setting then you can try a bit more weight, I would double check that everything is properly setup on your table first.
Here is a link to info on properly setting up the tables.

If you have just started out spinning then there is a good chance may just need to work on your backcuing technique a bit and develop a steady hand. Try not to pull the record in a straight line, but kind of ease it around using your fingers and wrist instead. |
