So i bought some M3D's off ebay and just got them today. I took a look at them and one looks like the platter is a little off balance. How do I go about fixing that? There are Ortofon Night Club's on there, but how do you tell when those need replacing? Other than that everything looked like it was in perfect order. Tomorrow I have some vinyl coming in so I can test the sound. I'll go through and check the forum on how to do tonearm settings etc, but if anyone wants to put their 2 cents in for thing I should look at I'd appreciate it.

in terms of the platter, my brand new 1200s had an off-balance platter. not sure if youre meant to do this, but as techs are meant to be super tough, i just pulled it off and lent on it a bit and put it back on, and she was sweet.

A slightly offbalanced platter isn't a problem. If it is really bothering you, you should order a new one at Panasonic.
