Digweed Review!!!!!!
View this Thread in Original format
Miss Julia
I honestly wasn't too impressed with Digweed. It was my first time seeing him, and I was expecting him to be way better. I think my problem was that I kept comparing him to Sasha, which I shouldn't have done. His mixing skills were amazing though, and he played alot of fresh new tracks that I've never heard before.

Other than that, I enjoyed the night, hanging out with all my friends, and seeing friends I haven't seen out in a while... and of course meeting new people. I meet more and more of you guys when I go out...

Yea I was only really impressed with the last hour and a half. Although Diggers mixing was perfect. All in all I had a great time, just knida deaf right now.

i had alot of fun..it was surprisingly bangin from diggers which i liked alot and the opening set by desyn was awesome might even be better than diggers..top notch night..though work aint too much fun right now :sadgreen:
Miss Julia

Well you all have fun at work, I'm going to take a nap.
Oh yea, did anybody met Diggers outside at the end of the show?
I got to meet him and talk for a bit, and I must say he's a very nice down to earth guy. I just wish I would've brought my Bedrock LP set for him to sign, oh well....next time

I too was under the impression that his style & tune selection would be more like Sasha but it was a little harder than I expected -- no complains though. Like Julia said, lots of fresh tunes. Hell, I can't even id one!!

Overall, he put a nice show. Place was packed but not much shoving on the dance floor. Thanx to buddy Ed, we were able to cut in line outside and that saved us some 2 hours right there. We arrived, and 2 min later we were inside :D :D

Oh and I finally got the chance to chat with Julia and a few other TAs there last night .. funny how we've been seeing each other at every event for the past 2-3 years but never got the chance to talk :)

One last thing, is it me or Tranceaholic keeps getting bigger and bigger every time we see him? the dude is really working out :) I'm messing with you Tarek man hehe. It was good seeing you again

Wow, is the floor spinning or it's all in my head?? going to work after a night of hard drinking & clubbing should be considered a crime :(

Two completely different styles. Sasha is dreamy melodic progressive house, whilst, Digweed is deep, rugged house. You guys are so nub, you've been hyping him up for several months, now you say "he's not what you expected?" Haven't you heard anything from the guy prior to seeing him? GU 019: Los Angeles, Stark Raving Mad? Anyway, end of topic.

Honestly, it was ok for me. It wasn't his best, but I still had fun. I think I really enjoyed his last 30 min of his 2nd hour, and the first 30 min of his 3rd hour. After that, I had to leave. It was fun...

Nice meeting Noree last night....
