I've survived a very dry 56 degrees celcius in Nevada, near Las Vegas, so a humid Toronto 40 celcius won't kill me.... besides, a water fight with my favourite lady friends is much more feasible in hot weather.
i'll always take heat over cold..... then again, if i abide by my beloved trance music, "as the rush comes" quotes: "there's a cold wind in the air, but I don't care" |

i agree with you.
i hate being too hot.
you can always warm yourself up but cooling down is a problem. +40 is unbearable for me. even for 10 minutes. i have lived in -40 a few winters and it's not that bad. a nice crisp sunny winter day. |

| I'd pick -40, but I think comparing between 40 and -40 is not fair. 40+ is normal in many warm places during the summer , while -40 is not avg in cold countries winters |

after clarification on the -40 bit, Ill take that for sure.
cuz -40 w/ windchill isnt that bad.
just keep the wind off of you, and it will seem to warm up my 15 or 20 degrees. |

i'll take +40 anytime. I lived in Saudi Arabia for 10 years and that country is nothing but a big desert. Your body really gets used to the heat. The trick is to wear sleeved cotton shirts and cotton pants with light colours... White being the best colour to wear. Cover your head as well. A turban is the most practical but it isn't really a fashion statement :p
as of -40... well i like cold but to be reasonable, -5 - -15 is the range i can deal with... if ur active, it's fun... |

-40. I've lived in +40 weather and that was too much for me. When you're hot there's only so much you can take off, and cold showers... well you're cooled down for the length of the shower; after that it's back to being hot again.
-40 at least you can cover up! :D |
