View this Thread in Original format
Arcticboy
Hey, can anyone confirm the following??

Nick Warren - Fri October 19 at System Soundbar
Seb Fontaine - Thu October 25 at Tonic

This is what I heard from a friend of a friend...

I'd love to see Seb.
HCP
Nick Warren is definitely coming to System. He'll be throwing down a 5hr set. As for Seb. I was listening to Global Groove on Wednesday for FTWK, and in one of the ads it did mention that Seb was coming to Tonic. I think its on the Wednesday and not the Thursday, but don't quote me on that one...
Kytracid
Oh yes !!! Screw Ferry "No Show" Corsten....Nick Warren and Seb will more then make up for that prick cancelling (again!!!). October is going to be awesome !!! PVD, Tiesto, Warren, Fontaine.....ahhhhhh so many DJ's so little money. ;)
Arcticboy
I know Kytracid, isn't that sick the talent we're getting? :D So many DJ's, so little time...:(

HCP, thanks for confirming Nick Warren at least. WOW! FIVE HOURS??

Anyone know if Seb Fontaine is coming on the Wed or Thu?:

OMG!! WARREN IN TORONTO! NO ING WAY..yes yes yes!! and a 5hr set!
TranceXtasy
What is Nick Warren's style of music? What other DJ's are comparable to him?
Arcticboy
Hey Xtasy. Actually, I don't really know Warren very well. I downloaded his essential mix which kinda sucked. I also got his Global Underground sets and will tell you once I listen to them. Seems to have some big fans though, so I'm sure he's gotta have some good stuff...
TranceXtasy
Cool, once you listen to the CDs let me, cause if he is too progressive I probobly won't go. Midterms are comming up and my time is very limited now :( BTW, can't wait to Tiesto, you're going to be there, right articboy?
Arcticboy
You kidding, right? Of course I'm gonna be there!!! I work the next day which kinda sucks, but hey, ain't gonna miss Tiesto.

What I've heard of Warren so far HAS been progressive, so I'll see.

Nick Warren is a progressive underground dj...has tracklist is always surprising and exciting 2 listen 2..and none of his set DONT suck :) ppl call him da 2nd generation of progressive trance, at when u think about and listen 2 it, it's really different dan da whole progressive scene...he always puts some amazing bass levels, such as jamacian bass, some breakbeats 2 it, which is really sick 2 listen...his 5hr set is gonna be really kind of type of chilling musik yet groovy at da same time :) Warren belongs 2 da few progressive pioneers along with Digweed and Sasha, he's been in da dis scene since 90's - 1991 2 be exact..as 4 Sasha he's lately slacking off, but its oki :)

sohaness
man, your post is very difficult to read and understand...
Kytracid
nick warren is a great progressive DJ....

u'll hear all blends of trance.

Housey stuff...
Tech-Trance
Break-Trance
but most of the tunes are stright up progressive.

His sets are diverse which is a good thing and he's technically quite good too (at least way better the Seb Fontaine )

I'd compare his sounds to

Seb Fontaine (the kinda stuff he is spinning currently)
Sander Klienenberg0
Max Graham
Dave Seamen (Although seamen blends more trance and house)
Timo Maas
