im sorry to hear that.. honestly man, its prob just the record thats doin that. I have certain records that do that. if thats not the case... add more weight!!!
Briden
yes, that and put the antiskate to 0

also, be GENTLE with it.
CosmoKid
you sure you have the weight right on your tone-arm? its not a perfect science. you may just have to readjust the weight settings.

and sometimes setting the anti-skate too high has the opposite effect of too low.
davepiazza
dude its 99.9 % the record.

check with another record. same problem?

Look at the ty record. Is it bent or warped. ? Is it sitting firmly on the platter? is there a dent in the record? Just let the record sit on the platter and then hit play. does the record look like is woobling? Is it sitting even?

If yes to any of the above the record is wack.
davepiazza
Or put weight to max and anti skate to max. needle might not be balanced correctly. test now
tu_face
i have one record thats an absolute cunt for it

but if this is a problem with every record you have the yeah re-balance the tone-arm, and also check your height settings. there is a table of settings in relation to cart heights in the technics manual. rmeember if you change this to re-balance the tonearm afterwards :)

If you lift your arm and move it across the record a couple of times, do you feel some kind of resistance in the arm?
