I have really enjoyed them everytime I've seen them (five times I believe, and I'll be seeing them Sunday night, too)...
But overall, it's a mixed bag if you take everyones opinion. You really don't hear mixed reviews from any single gig...either just about everyone loved them or everyone had problems with them...mainly because it really seems to depend on their programming. If they nail it, everyone loves em...if they don't do such a good job, they get a lot of flack.
They've evolved as DJs a lot over the course of this year. Just go in with a positive attitude and not with the mindset of being overly critical with their set, and I'm sure you'll have tons of fun.
Their recent Fortdance set...WOWZAs. I love it!
Their new album...WOWZAs. It's greeeaattt. Be sure to pick it up in stores Tuesday. I'm gonna show my support and buy one for sure!

| Hey Dave, you have any idea why Josh Gabriel is releasing his own songs and remixing others under his name? I almost get the feeling that they are going to break up. |

Just because they are a duo, doesn't mean they don't remix on their own. They do. Dave Dresden has remixed a number of tracks by himself and Josh Gabriel has also remixed a number of tracks by himself. Dave Dresden is even a part of another duo w/ Ryeland Allison known as Attention Deficit (might have heard of them, they are awesome together, too). Josh Gabriel is a part of Andain.Dave Dresden is NOT a part of Andain. Andain consists of Josh Gabriel, Mavie Marcos, and David Penner.
As far as singles go, remember Dave and Josh met because of a track Josh produced himself to begin with...called Wave 3. Josh Gabriel - Alive is a bit old actually. He made it when his first child was born, and the song is dedicated to his child I believe. His track "Switch" is new from what I gather, though.
Anyhow, there's no indication of a breakup. |
