So who went last night to the Henry Fonda theater for Spundae/Godskitchen's premiere? How was it?

I'm planning on seeing Markus + AVB so I'm hoping the new venue doesn't um... suck. :eyes:

People have already said that it's a nice venue...question would be the sound. I was told that a brand new sound system was going to be installed by the time Godskitchen opened ... and that a Funktion One system was recommended to them, although it was up to the venue to decide which system to get.

Well....my personal opinion.....I thought the Circus venue was a lot BETTER! This place reminds me of Avalon and Mayan theater cept much older and not as clean looking. outdoor patio was decent size...guess that was pretty cool but what's up with the co-ed bathroom upstairs.....felt sorry for the women needing to go! As for the sound system.....sounds pretty much the same as Circus but I'm no expert! Another drawback was the place had very little areas to sit down at, most everybody were sitting on the stairs and on the floor. ( unless they open up the seats upstairs...just like Mayan/Avalon). There's a large parking lot next to the club but I could see getting in this place on a night when AVB or Ferry Corsten gonna be a bitch! Anybody experience the Giant lines knows what I mean. George Acosta didn't even make it last night...guess due to the Hurricane in Maimi! Just wondering if you knew there was a storm heading your way several days in advance...why didnt he plan on leaving earlier. Well I was at first pretty dissapointed with the place but as the night went through I started feeling the music and the crowd was really good and ended up with a pretty wonderful time! If you plan on going to see AVB or any top DJ plan on getting there early cause the line outside is just like what I experience at Giant esp. on Tiesto night! Hopefully Spundae/Godskitchen can manage their crowd better than Giant!

Promoter books the flights, not the DJ.

This was the first night... So there are going to be Kinks. You all remeber the Night Avalon opened??? I talked to My boss about the situation and he told me that they are working on the sound, as well going to start a 4 line system to make the flow a lot better.

I think the venue suits Spundae a lot better. Circus just was in a bad location, and they had complaints that the sound wasn't loud enough and the venue owner wasn't doing a good job keeping up on the place. Having their venue on Hollywood Blvd is just a lot better than out in the boonies on Santa Monica Blvd.

The sound system they had there was FANTASTIC, extremely, extremely crisp sounding. It was loud, but I could still have a conversation with someone next to me. It's just going to take some time getting used to.
