How about some idea's for future competitions folks?
I'd like to see comp's where a selected 8-10 tracks are listed, and then user challenged to mix them - in any order, by any means to a forum of judges.
Or maybe a 2 track competition, and see what people can acheive in a single transition competition.
Anyone else? |

Nice ideas!
I'd like to give it a shot...even tho I'm really not good yet :P
Problem is webhosting tho, I could upload it to someone else if thats ok?
(ohh, and will the competition comply to both vinyl/cd and mp3 mixing?)

Yeah, any mixing method, be it vinyl, mp3, wav or cd it can be anyway.
Problem is, if vinyl they would need the dedicated tracks to mix.
This way, people could really hear there forte against anyone elses preferences.
I'm naff at vinyl when I had a go, semi ok at mp3 on 2 souncards, but on wav, i totally understand and love it lol.
Some out there mix on cd's bloody amazingly too, so it would be a real gauntlet thrown down.
Scoring could be the same as the current one, but with a drag system that gives penalties for using the easier methods and lesser penalties for the harder ones to do -ie MP3!
i'll start a thread actually to see what people think out of the 4 ways is the hardest.... |
