Hello Everybody,

Please take some time and review my new vocal trance song:

Wounded Soul by Nektarios
Voice/Lyrics: Ariane Leanza

I was very fortunate to have an amazing singer, with an awesome voice, Ariane Leanza, sing for it and do the lyrics as well.

I want to thank all the TranceAddict members because it was your reviews that enabled me to get better and better over time, and now I am about to promote this song to the radio, and record labels.

Your review is vital, so any comments/suggestions (good or bad) are very welcome.

No reviews due to the fact You havent posted replies to anyone else...

It's like going into a room full of people talking and shouting "LISTEN TO ME I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY"

Luckly i've been in the same posistion as you so ill check it out :P

Sounds cheesy as from the intro... snare needs to be changed. This is really cheese'tastic.. no beat at all. Sorry not liking this at all atm. Im turning it off now... that poor girl. Sorry im not trying to be mean.. but I really don't like this at all...

Hello TriXed,

Thank you for your review. It is very much appreciated, despite being negative.

I guess it was selfish of me to expect others to review my song when I don't review other people's song. Sorry! I'll try and change that...

Thanks again,

Its alright m8, and i was a bit harsh.. ill give some feedback.

The main melody it's self is not to my liking mainly because for a Trance track sounds more like a pop lead. It also hits some wrong notes if you get what I mean. Some parts seem out of place. This is just my view though. The beat its self is lacking, the kick seems to be more bass emphasis rather than kick. It needs to be changed to a better kick. It also seems that there is either not much or no percussion at all.. either that or its turned down.

The bass needs some more elements.. either something over the top, or another bass backign it up.

The volumes and levels on most of the stuff seem to be a bit out.. the beat needs to be alot louder.. all the percussion ( if there is any) needsto be turned up alot.. and the paino turned down alot.

The pads alot.. I personally dont like the sound.. see if you could change the sound.. it just seems a bit dated.

Hope these comments help.

Thanks again TriXed! Very helpful review, I have to admit. :-) Everything you said will be taken into consideration...

Not bad at all, but indeed a bit cheesy. I can't say I love the vocal, because there are parts in this song where the vocal sounds a bit out of tune. The bassdrum is a bit too 'weak', don't know how to describe it properly. And be carefull with the reverb - don't push it to far. I like the arrangement, however.

Thanks Green Link!

I think this song is very good... it almost doesn't seem like an amateur created it! It has a "Forever Young" flavor and a great beat and melody. The vocals are okay, but at times, they sound off key. I love it when she says, "ahhhhh...." and "I will believe......" but I think the song would be more powerful if the vocals were a bit more energetic. It almost seems like the lyrics are just being read...

Good work, overrall, though. Keep it up! :)

Uhm..

There's no kick. Sounds a bit like Forever Young. It's very cheesy. Very basic sounds used. The vocal is a bit off here and there. She has a good voice (edit the off points) but not for eurodance like tracks. Try to create some floaty Andain like track or so. And keep on practising. ;)

I agree with musiclover for the most part. It does have a "forever young" vibe. It needs something to spark an interest. It's structured too much like mainstream pop or something, but badly arranged 80's mainstream pop. I don't mean that to be insulting. I don't hear a throbbing kick, or any energy in the bass line in relation to that. It's not a bad effort. Once you get some more experience behind you, you'll probably start cranking out some kick ass tunes. The vocals really bothered me. I couldn't take them seriously once she started, but she did have some good moments.
