| I started talking to some 30-year-old Asian chick at SkyBar last night, but then got cockblocked by her friend. So an hour later, someone hits me on the shoulder in KoolHaus. It was her. I guess i was so into my dancing that she figured a pat on the back wouldn't be enough? Anyway, she dragged me into her group and started introducing me to her friends. Man, these people can party! Granted, they were all incredibly high. But what i really liked is the way they treated me. I'd constantly get patted on the back and offered water, weed or a tissue to wipe my face. And there's like a whole giant network of these people! I ended up finding out that all Asian people over 30 who were anywhere in the complex last night actually knew eachother! Wherever we went, we'd immediately get surrounded by like 30 people who were all looking at me with wide open eyes because i was a foot taller than everyone in a 10-meter radius. Yeah, so that made for an interesting night to say the least. It's so cool to get to know different crowds like that and see how social circles interact! |

Guv still has the tiest male/female ratio on planet Earth, just like every other club that plays trance. So it's a really lousy place to meet women. The music is what keeps me coming back. The Friday night crowd at Afterlife is so much cooler. Whenever they're not plotting to kill me for stealing their women that is :haha: |

That's not actually true...the Guv has some seriously hot girls, problem is they are not there to be picked up...that's where you wen't wrong ;) Most of them are there with their BFs and I just don't think that Guv is a pick up place at all - it's too loud anyway you can't have a decent conversation unles your idea of picking up is grinding of course.
Any club in TO has a horrible girl to guy ratio we've covered that many times already though :p |

Based on last night's observations alone, Guv not only has hot girls, but hot single girls and hot single girls who can be picked up. There's only one problem. There are far fewer of them there than in other clubs, and by other clubs i mean R&B clubs. The issue with this isn't that there are so few of them that they're hard to find - that's not the case at all. The issue is that there are 2-3 times more guys for every hot girl in Guv than in Afterlife for instance. So what happens is that they get hit on a lot more, and mostly by drunken white guys. So after an hour in the club, they're somewhat in a state of disgust. And to get them out of that state and demonstrate that you're different than the other 20 guys who approached her that night is difficult to say the least. I was shocked at how different the crowd at Guv's rooftop patio was from Afterlife's. At Afterlife, i could look in any direction and see a hot girl within several feet. At SkyBar, i could walk for 5 meters looking in every direction without seeing one. And not only that but the attitude was so much different. At Afterlife's rooftop patio i immediately built up a huge social circle consisting of around 30 people. Everyone was in a great mood, laughing and having a great time. At SkyBar, people seemed a lot more standoffish and uptight. |
