What did you listen to before you got into EDM

Surely there was a time in the distant or the not-so-distant past, before you got into electronic music, when you were all about another type(s) of music. I'm sure alot of people are still open to other types of music, and probably throw that old Metallica cd in the player...but once you're into EDM, I don't think there's much chance of turning back.

So what did you used to listen to?

pretty much used to listen to everything, as long it had rhythm and sounded good.

Mostly Rock and Dance were my fav categories.

Mainly alternative. Some dance here and there but not that much.

I just started listening to a bunch of jam bands (phish, string cheese incident, keller williams). I find that it's a great way to unwind the brain after the 4/4 assault of EDM. Gets the never-ending beat out of my head after a night of partying :)

I hear you man. I used to love punk growing up in California, not the commercial shiet mind you, but the good, talented, raw stuff. After I moved here my love for punk slowly dwindled, Toronto punk sucks

I voted for "classic rock" btw ;) Dad brought me up on it, and i still love it today.
