Does any1 know if/how to assign samples to different keys in the piano roll in FL Studio?
So I can use my midi keyboard as a drum sequencer via fruity?
Hope that makes sense |

You cant assign different samples as such
but if you use the fruity drumsynth, each individual drum sample is placed on a different key. |

That sounds like it might be able to work.
Basically I want 2 do my percussions in real time using my keyboard, instead of drawing them in on the piano roll, or a drum synth.
Ne1 else have any ideas? |

i don't think it's possible. but there are several 'workarounds'.
1) make a soundfont, with each sample on a different key
2) use a sampler-vsti
3) use the fruity slicer. it can import BeatCreator files, which i think are simple .wav files with regions set inside
each method will assign the sounds from the soundfont/sampler/Sliced Beat to a different key, like the drumsynth method mentioned by CJC. |

| Just get Steinberg's Halion, It's not with the 'Fruity Keyboard' Itself, but it's a vsti with a keyboard, and you can assign the samples you want on the vsti keyboard, making your midi controller a drumsynth. |
