behringer are a PIECE OF !
Dont bother with them, i am about to give mine the boot, they suck so much. :whip: i want to smash mine.
Pioneer djm600 is not bad, but there are better mixers out there. The quality of the 600 is not what it used to be.
I am getting the new ECLER NUO 5, kicks pioneers ass, same price but quality of the Allen & Heath ;) |

| I've got the DJX700 and it ing s all over the pioneer...its essentially exactly the same console for less than half the price. I recommend this model to anyone who asks. Dont listen to people slagging off on the brand, regardless of what these naysayers might sprout, behringer is a much more highly respected name in the world of pro-audio equipment than pioneer, I used plenty of behinder stuff back when I used to do studio work and it is generally reliable well made. |

IMO you would be better off saving up and buying the djm600,
as for the djx700, i was asking about it a while back, if you hit the search button theres loads of threads [had to trawl through them myself] with heaps of valuable info.
in short - djx700 is cheaper alternative but overall build quality isnt the same and it has fairly useless effects
still good if on a tight budget however. |

behringer came through with speakers (ie. Truth series)
i bet you havent spun on the djm600 ay Rollie, you've beeen fooled my friend
but yeah since your only a bedroom dj, djx700 would be a good alternative... unless u wanted to go pro (which i assume since u always spam your mixes) :D :D :D |

As mentioned above, behringer are total crap, they have the worst reputation, especially when it comes to professional audio gear like compressors and such
As for the djx700 - the effects are shocking! The flange isnt even a flange, it just adds noise to the mix
stay away from these |

Yeah been using a DJX700 for a while, I guess it's biggest benefit is that once you learn it you've basically learnt a DJM600 as well :)
The FX are pretty ordinary though, all 77 of them sound basically the same... |

I've used both extensively. I'd save the dosh up for the 600.
* Better (cleaner) sound quality
* The FX are usable and sound awesome
The 700 on the other hand has not skipped a beat on me The layout is the same as the 600 which does help you become acustomed, and it does have a few extra features such as kills, a stereo widener and more flexibility with inputs on the back. The FX are total e though. Prohibitively e. And, it's only been out for less than a year so it hasn't stood the test of time exactly.
I've got the 700 currently, also have the Truths, and some other Behringer as do many of my friends- none of the stuff has skipped a beat even having lugged it around to various places as well.. So if you really are that strapped, the 700 will teach you the layout and serve you ok, but if FX and Immaculate sound are a high priority. Hoc you ass or whatever to get the DJM600. |

I hate to sound arrogant but honestly im sick of people posting this bull. Behringer is a hihgly respected brand, both in the studio, and in concert audio. I know this because I have years of professional experience working with pro audio equipment to back it up. I have worked with just about every large concert system in australia and I have seen plenty of behringer products in use - mics, speakers and consoles. The only pioneer kit i have seen in any show was the occasional mic. So please shut the up because you honestly have no ing idea whatyou are talking about.
And for the record, I have used a djm600 plentyof times, and as far as Im concerned its not different enuff from the behringer to warrant a $900 price difference.

in the studio where im studying at we've had nothing but problems from the behringer equipement. The compressors are noisy and dodgy.. and the mics are really not on par with some of the other brands such as the shure and sennheiser that they have hell, even our head of audio warned us about the "B" word (as they refer to it) and how much trouble they've caused. and as for their DJ mixers, its really not rocket science to be able to notice the quality compared to pioneer/A&H
im sorry if I hit a little soft spot in you robert but its really simple, you get what you pay for. |

I'm not going to comment on the behringer range because there is obviously enough debate on it. Simply I will say there is a reason why majority of clubs / major events use technics 1200/1210's and a reason why majority of clubs/ major events use DJM600's .....
QUALITY!!!!:D
I would recommend less features and better quality however if you can't afford a djm600, i.e djm300 or something from the vestax range! |

You have no idea what you're on about , so get off your high horse cos the DJX700 is an absolute piece of . If you have used both the DJM600 and the DJX700 then you obviously know nothing about sound quality, component quality, channel leakage, you also obviously don't use the effects because the DJX700's effects are nothing but useless... In short, the DJX700 sounds awful, build quality is very bad, and it overheats. They sell for under USD$200 here in the states and they are not even worth that. If someone offered me one for USD$50 I wouldn't take it.
In regard to pro audio and studio equipment, that is a completely seperate arena from DJ equipment, evident from the fact that Pioneer's DJ equipment is exceptional quality and is always breaking new ground... you may here good things about Behringer's studio equipment, but whether or not that is the case, their DJ equipment is a joke, and nothing but.
