after experiencing the might of the Pioneer DJM-600 i am compelled to purchase a new mixer with more channels and FX and stuff..
just looking at cheaper alternatives because i cant afford a Pioneer at the momment...
one of the ones i came up with was the
Behringer Pro DJ Mixer DJX700
just wanted to know what quality of these are like and if they are worth purchasing or if they're just too ty to bother with..
any advice would be great also, mnaybe some other possible reccomendations as far as mixers go..

but what makes these behringers so lower in $$$ then the pioneer..
like this is for home usage..
so is it still worthwhile getting?
i need something which is NO MORE EXPENSIVE then a
pioneer DJM-600 |

I would be that friend. I have a DX1000 which I use for all my main stuff (CDJ, DAT, Mini-Disc, CD Recorder, etc) and after being on for over 2 years non stop (24/7) it still is like brand new. Everything works great!
I also have a MXB1002 small Behringer mixer that I use for all my Behringer mics (which are great for the price).
My opinion on Behringer is that they make pretty good quality products that have never failed me, and they are priced right. $900 for a mixer is insane when all it has more is a sampler. Get a Dr Sample and a DJX-700 (at least thats what I may do).

P.S. If anyone is looking for a 2 channel Behringer mixer, I'm selling a brand new one, unopened and sealed in the box. PM me for details. |

whats a dr. sample??
i just wonder whether the DJX-700 is better then the DJM300 that i have no.. and if so why, and if not why.
i dont know much about mixers!!! |

Dr. Sample is a stand alone sampler unit. The DJX-700, which is a clone of the Pioneer DJM-600 doesnt have a sampler like the DJM-600. So if you really needed that, I've heard the Dr. Sample is good:

The DJM300 is 2 channel, DJX-700 is 5. DJX-700 has effects, DJM300 doesnt. DJX-700 is cheaper, DJM300 is more expensive.

there must be a reason for it :)
but yeh
i think ill go the behringer :) |

I'd say the reason is somewhat similar to the reason that Gimp is free and Photoshop costs hundreds of dollars. You're paying for the name.
I'm not saying that Pioneer mixers arent good, I'm just saying that the main thing that drives the cost up is the name. A mixer with nearly the same features cant cost nearly as much as Pioneer is charging for it if Behringer can do it for so much less.

IMO ..Pioneer mixers are the worst in sound qaulity but best for features.
You must ask yourself whats more important; sound or features. You can not have the best of both worlds on a budget. Its like buying a new car..you cant expect to buy a truck but the perofmance of a sports coupe. Or buy the best beer at a store w/ $5.
I prefer sound quality above all else.
Thus I choose a Denon X-800 mixer when I was strapped for cash.
Once I got enough money I sold my denon and upgraded to Rane. |

| dude.... dont give this guy false information. search on TA forums and you will see how much djx-700 suck. the eqs are practically . the FX sound like crap. djm maybe not have really great sound quality but the eqs and fx are at least up to standard for its price. i tried the djx-700 that my friend had. and he sold it 2 days after he got it. it sucks. why is it so cheap? yes, cos it ing sucks. |
