sounds like a slight bit of adagio for strings inspirtaion here.
percussion is cool at the start but lovin when that panning gated synth comes in. Opening syncopated melody is a little thin for my like... may i suggest the use of some fx throughout the intro.
nice and original melodic progression, it changes just as i was expecting something really predictable so great work.
Maybe some further percussion variation would benefit the tune as well.
kinda goes into the breakdown suddenly but i like the immediate entry of the strings re-iterating that original melody.
When percussion kicks in with melody again i feel it's a bit sudden... which can sound good...no incredibly dancefloor friendly. i'd add a quick sweep or maybe quick snare/kick roll
6:00 and i';m gettin a little tired with the melody and the same old percussion.
overall i think there just needs to be a bit more variation and perhaps some more perc work. otherwise i think you've got some great ideas here, eg. the panning gated basey synth and that great main melody which could turn into a masterpiece with a bitta extra work
nice work mate :) |

hi m8, i like the idea behind this one, nice long and interesting chord progression there.
the distorted rhythmic synth that enters at 00:28 is great, really adds to the drive of the tune, and compliments the kick/bass perfectly. the bassline is really good too.
overall the tune was pretty interesting, but i got a little tired by the stabby melody line by the end of it, perhaps try varying the release times on that synth, or changing / layering patches.
all the best! :) |
