Is there anyway to automate synths in fruity?

For example, I want to automate the cutoff filter on my albino synth, as I quite like the filter, or automate other effects?

I think it may be able to be done on z3ta, but I just dont get it.

Can any1 advise where I can get hold of a manual or walkthrough for the z3ta?

You didnt get a manual for z3ta ?
Then contact rgcaudio support.

I use the modulation matrix in z3ta to set the filter cutoff or whatever to go through the modulation channel and automate it that way...

but if you're using a VSTi like V-station that doesn't have a Mod-Matrix then you have to look in the manuel to see what perimiter operates on what MIDI CC channel.

the way i used to do it was.

Press the record button, play 1 bar and move the button you want to automate up and down a bit.

if this goes well, in the current project window your automation channel should appear, you can automate further from there..

you can also keep using the record button to automate the whole thing.

not sure if thats how it still goes in the new FL, i never used the midi device.

Click on the icon in the top left hand corner of the vsti

Go to 'edit event'

and then choose the event you wish to automate.

Correct method alert.

To expand on that, make sure you have the pattern selected that you want to activate the automation. So each to you put that pattern into the playlist, the event will execute.
