Thats such an early call, i dont think it will sway voters all that much seeing as there were little casualties and none were australians. We all seen what happened in Spain so he could be on the way out. |

If anything, i think will be a negative for John Howard. It seems pretty clear to me that John Howard's foreign policy and our participation in the "War on Terror" with the US has made us a greater target for terrorists. Participating in the conflict in Iraq will make us safer? Give me a break......i think that most Australians disagree with this.
Why else would they bomb the Australian Embassy? What possible reasons would they have?

i sincerely hope you are right, the problem is that Howard is an extremely talented demagogue and he will use this event to his advantage. Howard is perceived as 'strong' on issues such as foreign policy (even though this policy has increased our susceptibility to to terrorist attacks) whereas the unknown Latham will be considered too much of a risk to the Australian public
