Recommendations please: Techno artist albums (pg. 2)

Considering the list of artists I wrote above, would you like to add or retract some of these suggestions? I have heard the Slater album and it was not really that great IMO. I similarly find Hardfloor and David Clarke a bit too boring as well. I would guess that Secret Cinema suits me though. Perhaps CJ Bolland too. The rest I am totally in the dark about. |

Techno albums aren't like trance albums.
techno producers tend to use there albums to experiment and a bit more. Take oxia - 24 heurs for example, it's a lot more minimal than some of his productions. |

How anyone can find Acperience 1, Red 1 and Red 2 boring is beyond me but fair enough. Also, I fail to see why you would want to buy an album full of loop tracks in the Drumcode style unless you're a DJ. Where on earth is the listening value in that? But if that's what you want..

I don't mind experimentation - my fondness of Speedy J, Splank, and Ellen Alien should be sufficient indicators of that. However, some things are called experiments by the authors and crap by most listeners. As I am not a millionare I do not want to buy that stuff - be its essence that of experiments, crap, or crap experiments. |

Thanks for the re-evaluation.
I do like Acperience (and a couple of other tracks by Hardfloor) as well as Dave Clarke's remix of Jark Prongo's "Movin' Thru Your System". But *in general* their music is just not me.
As regards to my weird musical taste: I'm a psycho, though a peaceful one. Find comfort in the fact that it is not you :) |

I took a re-listening to Hardfloors "the Best of" album, and would like to acknowledge that you are right: They do produce excellent music sometimes.
Furthermore, I listened to "Red 2" - but that track is still on my "non-exciting" list. Do you really dig it more hard than things like "Bitches from Hell", "Turbulence", and "Blood Angels"? |

| Adam Beyer - Ignition Key is my favourite techno artist album, mainly due to its mostly downbeat feel and varied nature. Not full of tracks for dancefloors, but a very rewarding listen. |
