Reason: Creating your own pads

OK, now I searched thoroughly through this forum section with a bunch of different keywords and I can't seem to find any answer to my question...
Would anyone here be kind enough to tell us how to create those magical pad sounds using Reason?
I wanna create my own pads but I have big troubles creating them using the synthetizers available in there... I guess I'm missing something...
With all the great work I'm hearing in the Amateur Producer Promotion forum, I can't believe there's no one in there using Reason! :D

| i use malstrom + nn+xt string sets to make my on pad sounds in reason. |

| My best advise would be: any synth, find a sound you like, give it a slow attack, a good amount of sustain, and depending on how long you want it to last, mess with the decay and release. that would be a good place to start. |

| also forgot to mention Filters and Phases work great also Delay and lots of verb |
