I pack my bags and silently wait
The moment has come,
It seems I've tempted fate
Hot August nights of humid air
I slip into a dream,
Sand and blood everywhere
My heart wasn't here, I just can't love war
I can't help wondering,
What everyone has died for
A summer to remember, one surely to forget
I wonder why I was here,
Then I think of the friends I've met
All that aside, I'm just glad that I'm free
I look forward to real life
And being the person I want to be
So my final words, and I'll hold back a tear

I'm a free man - flying back to Italy in a couple hours!
I'll be in Florida next March. I have a beach house to stay in in Ft. Lauderdale... make your reservations early!
