Question for Audiophile users

Im running it under FL but when choosing output sound there are 3 options, one called M Audio ASIO, one called M Audio Delta Multichannel, and the other SPDIF which does not work. The other two work but which are you supposed to use.
Also, i am getting horrible latency...under the "Direct sound properties" i have to put it to like 28 ms....WTF?? But if i take off polling i get 13ms only??
However, if i choose the ASIO option, there is no latency options to pick, it just says use CPU limit. |

You should really research things before you buy them...
Use the M Audio Delta ASIO option in FL, and use the delta control panel to change the buffer size, sample rate etc. as you see fit. ASIO is a special driver - blah blah blah - it gives you lower latency without compromising sound quality.
BEFORE you repost having cries that it sounds bad or something, lowering your buffer size may cause crackling and whatever if youre using alot of channels, but will lower your latency. Similarly making it higher will sound better but have higher latency. 13ms or 28ms is nothing to cry about anyway, i went a year with like 200ms delay and actually learned things before i went out and bought everything like an idiot.
SPDIF doesnt work because you're not using digital speakers (connected to the SPDIF PORTS ON YOUR SOUNDCARD), if you bothered to read the replies to the post you made earlier then you'd have known this....
This thread makes me angry
