Back From Cancun!!!

Hi Everyone, i've posted since, but i've just got back from cancun last saturday and thought i'd share some detail for anyone who wants to go down this way, becasue seriously, if you're planning a trip to the caribbean, you have to go to cancun, no where else do you get paradise on the beach combined with the best nite life in the world (ibiza looks awesome to of course, but the accomodations in cancun are far superior)
anyways, to start things off with a bang, my first nite in cancun, JOHAN GIELEN happened to be djing at one of the biggest clubs there called 'THE CITY' (first off, heres the check list when you're in cancun. You must attend these clubs:
The City
Coco Bongo's
La Boom
Dady O's
These are the 4 best clubs in cancun and they're all big (the city and coco, bongo's are the biggest, like the guv main room + more) anyways, johan gielen was absolutely great and put on such an amazing show, it was interesting because most ppl just went there randomly (of course, because it is cancun) but surprisingly, there were a few die hards in the crowd, and i danced my ass off among them. at one point in the night, HAVANA FUNK - BAKIRI BAN (MAJOR BOYS REMIX) was played, i almost lost it, this is one of my favorite songs right now and could not beleive hearing it in a club...i highly recommend every to hear this song if they havent' already yet.
the clubs are unlike anything else down in cancun, its not just music and a dj, they always put on a show. theres always confeti and balloons flying around everywhere and always performers flying from the cieling and crazy stuff. Its just mind blowing as compared to what you'd see in torotno, guvernment can't come close.
la boom is the club that consistantly plays only house/prog/techno/trance and all those goodies (everyone from the resort i asked just refers to it as techno lol, maybe one day ppl will learn, oh well.) they also had a hot bikini contest which was nice for the guys to watch.
something crazy in cancun is the mexicans really like there EDM. at coco bongo's they started by playing hip hop, then the guy doing a performance on stage suddenly says "lets get this party started" and they play some awesome house for about 1hr. and all the other clubs went into long phases of really good EDM. even the flee markets had some crazy in there players. So those mexicans like there dance music ;)
anyways, to keep this short, if you want to party and don't lose the best music in the world, you MUST go to cancun, its absolutely nuts, the party never lets down, and its always like new years eve. You'll dance your ass off and get 3hrs of sleep each nite like i did! |

hey nice to hear that u had a great time .. the type of club vibe that you experienced in Cancun sounds a lot like the parties over in Europe. a lotta clubs and big events like to provide that 'over the top' kind of entertainment with stage performers and a fully deco'd room.
i'm just wondering though, did you experience any trouble with those hurricanes ? i'd imagine that you must have gotten some rain, especially during this season ..

hahaha, anyways we got soooo lucky, never got touched by the hurricane, we had flawless weather! 35C and Sun every single day. i couldn't believe we were lucky enough to have weather like that for 7 straight days!!
the crowd was awesome, the girls went crazy (i'm sure even more so on spring break, but i wouldn't want to be in a sardine can by going at that time of year, so this time was perfect becasue the clubs got packed, but remained comfortable which was really nice. almost like a kool haus type of capacity.
you'll like this part d!abolic ;) girls dance on the bars, and in the bars they have these cold air machines that shoot upwards and always blow girls skirts over there waist. So you see a lot of g-strings ;) oh btw. the beach is filled with a good 8-10 topless sunbathers on a daily baises. At least where we stayed (the riu cancun, which was a 5* and beatiful accomodations all the way!!!) |

how's your hotel for women? we're thinking of staying there next time we go, but don't want to get stuck for a week with pure sausage & family... |

| bigtounge...i couldn't talk enough praise about the Riu Cancun, its absolutely an amazing resort, 5* all the way, IMO, its prolly one of the best resorts you could stay at, from the food to the landscaping of the property, everything is absolutely beautiful!. i think it might differ from when you go, i think of course spring break is nuts. at this time of year i was surprised because there seemed to be a lot of couples. young and old, including myself and my gf. Like i said, lots of boobs on the beach lol...even my gf did, because shes like i don't want tanlines and no one else is wearing one lol... |
