I hate to do this, cuz I am sure its a repost, but I can't find anything that really answers my question...
Like most of you, I have a collection of MIDI's. BUT I have NO idea how to use them in programs such as Ableton, Reason, or Cubase. I am not a n00b to trance, but I am defineately a n00b to production/remixing.
Can anyone explain on a general level where to start.. I am pretty decent with computers and computer programs.. just need some guidance in the initial stage.
Cheers. |

First open Reason then do this:

then the keys from the midi comes in rack, but dont build your song form the same rack that u have ur midi, open a new rack and copy the notes from the midi rack, other wise the sound can be weird when u make ur song in the same rack as ur midi rack |

I can't get my Reason to work properly... and when I tried importing a MIDI into Ableton Live 4.0 it loads fine, but I can't get any sound out of it when I press play...
Any ideas? or help?
Cheers

| Midi doesn't hold any sounds, just the data for the notes. You need to assign a synth/sampler to the channel(s) if you want them to make sound. |
